Orange-Grilled Nectarines

This tastes like a hot peach pie without the crust. Serve the fruit with a dollop of low-fat yogurt. You can sweeten the yogurt with some artificial sweetener or just a bit of sugar, depending on how strict you are being. This makes a single serving, but just multiply the ingredients if you are cooking for others.

1 tablespoon orange juice
1/4 teaspoon extra-light olive oil
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 ripe nectarine, pitted and cut into 1/2-inch wedges
1/2 teaspoon sugar or sugar substitute (optional)

1 Preheat the broiler.
2 In a small bowl, blend the orange juice, olive oil, cinnamon, and salt. Add the nectarine slices and toss to coat well.
3 Place the nectarine halves in a small broilerproof pan. Drizzle any mixture remaining in the bowl over the slices. Sprinkle with sugar (if using).
4 Broil 6 inches form the heat for 5 to 7 minutes, or until heated through and lightly browned (watch to be sure they don't burn).
